Students Without Borders: Rebuilding Louisiana

Back

With the 3rd anniversary of Hurricane Katrina upon us, I thought it might be a could time to share my trailer. In case you're not familiar with this video, it's a trailer of a documentary based on a trip students (mostly from New Jersey City University) took to help Katrina victims in Louisiana two years after the hurricane. We drove down from Jersey City in New Jersey and spent a week gutting and cleaning homes and entire neighborhoods devasted by Katrina. We also spent quality time with kids in the "450", the largest trailer park in Louisiana - named for the 450 families residing there. It's a work in progress so I'm looking for any feedback as to how it can be improved. I also need opinions as to whether the project shoud be produced as a full length documentary or a TV series for public television. If you view it, let me know what you think. Post your comments and pray Hurricane Gustav doesn't repeat history. Be well. Thanks, Maxim Almenas Producer
