Chapter 2 Part 1 We don't have time left to regret, Hold on, When we'll take more then common sense, Hold on, So stop your wondering, take a stand, Hold on, Cause there's more to life then just to live. Those were the first things Mandy heard as she woke up. She rubbed her eyes and looked at the clock. 11:30am. She sighed and got to her feet. Heading towards the bathroom Mandy could feel the floor shaking and she practically fell over. To her dismay Liz and Kristy were already using the sink so she waited for five minutes before she could brush her teeth and hair. When Mandy finally got downstairs and grabbed a muffin, 'S.O.S was blasting from the basement. Mandy peeked into the basement and saw Kevin sitting with his electric guitar cracking up as Joe made faces at Nick who was trying so hard not to laugh. "Boys stop fooling around. Just because you're on vacation doesn't mean that you can goof off." "Oh come on dad!" Kevin complained, setting down his guitar. "Do we really have to practice? I don't think that a few days without practice will kill us." "Yeah," Joe chimed in, "besides, I want to work on my tan." Nick laughed, "Yeah you look like Count Dracula!" Joe stuck out his tongue at him. "Fine!" Mr. Jonas sighed, waving a hand towards the door. The boys dropped their guitars and dashed up the stairs. Mandy barely escaped being run over. Kevin and Nick sprinted upstairs to get into their swimming suits but Joe grabbed three muffins, shoving one into his mouth before following them. Mandy giggled and then went to find Liz and Kristy. Mandy found them on the porch. "So what's up?" she asked. Sitting in a chair next to Kristy. "Just talking," Liz replied. "About?" Before anyone could respond the front door swung open and Kevin, Nick, and Joe paraded out, all heading towards the water. "Must I answer?" asked Liz. "Enough said," Mandy watched as the three dove into the water. "I have an idea..." Mandy began whispering with Liz and Kristy. Ten minutes later the girls were in their swimsuits and ready for some payback. The three crept towards the dock and luckily the boys weren't looking. Then Mandy, Liz, and Kristy let out a huge war cry and pounced into the air. Kevin, Nick, and Joe, looked up to see Mandy, Liz, and Kristy in mid air and about to descend on them. They screamed but were only rewarded with a mouthful of water. The boys came up to the surface spluttering. Liz, Mandy, and Kristy were already running down the shoreline and laughing hysterically. They had missed one little detail though. They were much slower runners then the boys. Kevin soon caught up with Mandy and tackled her to the ground. Mandy screamed and yelled, "Run!" to Liz and Kristy and then she reached out and tripped Nick and Joe. Kevin pinned Mandy and laughed, "Nice try but they'll get them." Mandy turned her head and saw that he was right. Joe was only a few feet behind Liz and Nick had just pounced onto Kristy. Kevin flipped Mandy onto her stomach, grabbing her hands, holding them behind her back. He helped her to her feet, but no matter how much she struggled she could not break free. Joe and Nick were making their way towards Kevin with their captives. "Well what should we do with these things?" Joe questioned Kevin and Nick. As the boys talked about what to do with the girls, the girls had come up with a plan of their own. Liz fell limp and pretended to faint. Joe looked at her confused and thinking quickly Mandy exclaimed, "Oh no she fainted Joe!" Kristy chimed in, "Yeah you have to give her mouth to mouth!" Joe dropped Liz onto the ground and looked nervously at his brothers who both let go of Kristy and Mandy and peered at Liz. "Well someone better do something fast!" Kristy yelled. Joe knelt next to Liz and leaned down close to her face, still nervous. Then Liz grabbed Joe's face, pulled him into a lip lock and pushed him off yelling, "Psyche!" and the girls ran to the lake and dove in. The boys bowed their heads, feeling defeated. Mandy, Liz, and Kristy swam out to the floating trampoline and scrambled on. They began jumping up and down and making faces at Kevin, Joe, and Nick.
