Violent Freshwater Extraction, Part 4
BackMaxxam/Pacific Lumber Co. used to hire extraction climbers to forcibly remove tree-sitters. These climbers are not officers of the law, nor are they deputized, yet the Humboldt Co. Sheriff's Dept. goes along with these unlawful arrests. This extraction video is from Greenwood Heights Rd. in Freshwater, CA; a tree-sitter named "Jungle"(now M.I.A.)was being cut out of his lockbox when "Phoenix" attempted to free-climb to the top. The extraction team of Eric Schatz & Co. stopped what they were doing so that they could violently apprehend Phoenix, as you will see in this 5-part series. These unlawful extractions are technically assault, battery, and kidnapping, since the members of the extraction team are neither officers nor are they deputized.
