[AN:I'm uploading a new chapter in a little bit today. This was deleted, so here for all you that didnt get to read] Chapter 34- Jason and Ali were sitting at a table in a darkly lit restaurant waiting for their food. Jason could tell there was something bothering Ali. He hadnt seen her bright smile all day. Ali was looking off to the side, thinking about Nick. Why wouldnt he leave her mind if all she wanted was to stop thinking about him and move on. She felt two cold fingers under her chin lightly pulling her face forward. Whats wrong?, Jason said when Alis eyes met his. She looked down and dropped her face in her hands. After a couple seconds she looked back at him. Ahh, Im sorry. I just have a lot on my mind, Ali said. Anything I can help with?, Jason said. Ali shook her head. Its not youre problem, its mine, plus, you being here is helping enough, Ali said. Jason smiled at her last comment. You sure?, Jason asked. Ali smiled a small smile and nodded. Saved, Ali thought as the waiter brought their food. She twirled the pasta around her fork, her mind lost somewhere else. Jason watched her a bit puzzled by her mood. He dug into his food wishing she would say something. He didnt know if it was him or something else. Ali sighed across the table. What is wrong with you boys. Why can you never make up your mind, Ali said not looking up a Jason. He chewed the rest of his food and swallowed hard. Whats wrong?, Jason asked. Ali put her face in her hands. Everything, Ali said. Jason sighed. You want to leave?, Jason asked. Ali nodded. The two of them stood from their table and headed to the car. Please dont take me home, Ali said. Jason nodded. He turned the opposite way of Alis face and just kept driving. Finally, he stopped in front of a walking trail in the Hollywood hills. Want to go for a walk?, Jason said. Ali nodded. They got out of the car and held hands walking up the trail. They came to a stop at an arrangement of rocks and sat down. Ali held Jasons hand as she rested her head on his shoulder. She still couldnt get Nick out of her head. She sighed. You going to tell me whats wrong?, Jason asked. Ali smiled a bit. Um, I was talking to Nick earlier and the conversation is just stuck in my head and its bothering me because Im with you and he shouldnt be in my head right now, Ali said. Jason didnt say anything for what seemed a long time. Ali, is this a mistake?, Jason asked, referring to the two of them. Ali looked into his eyes, holding his gaze for a long time. I dont know whats right and whats wrong anymore, but I know that I want to be here right now, Ali said smiling a small smile. Jason leaned in and their lips met. It was a soft, passionate kiss that made Ali forget all about Nick, for the time being. They broke apart and for the first time Ali noticed the time. It was already dark out. I have to get home, Ali said. Jason nodded and rose to his feet reaching for her hand to pull her off the rock. The two walked back to the car in silence. The drive through the Hollywood hills was silent too. They were silent through the whole drive. Their hands rested together in the island that put space between the driver and passenger seat, but other then that, they didnt acknowledge each other. Ali couldnt tell if it was something she had said or Jason was just being quiet. She was starting to notice everything that was wrong with her and Jason. If she was with Nick, she wouldnt be afraid to ask him why he was being so silent, most likely she would know. With Nick, a kiss wouldnt have made anything awkward. She sighed quietly to herself not knowing what was going on in her head. Maybe, she wasnt over Nick. She felt the car come to a slow stop. She looked up out the window and saw a big SUV parked in front of her house, which meant the boys were there. Ali laid her head back squeezing her eyes tight. This was the last thing she needed. Jason cleared his throat and Ali looked over at him. I just want to say something, Jason said. Ali nodded. Shoot, she said. Jason took a deep breath. Ali, I like you a lot. Youre not the average girl, not someone you would find in Hollywood. You do your own thing and thats something I admire about you. You always put a smile on my face and half the time I cant stop thinking about you. I know this probably isnt the best time, but I was wondering if you wanted to make this, us official, Jason said. He took another deep breath and looked up at Ali. Ali was in shock. She didnt know if she was ready for another relationship. Her throat was dry, but she got the next sentence out as best as possible. Can I please have some time to think this over?, Ali asked. Jason looked a bit sad, but nodded. Ali smiled and leaned in. She gave him a quick kiss on the cheek, then turned and got out of the car running into her house and not stopping until she was upstairs in her room.
