Produced at the Gulf Islands Film and Television School during the Adult Media Intensive Program (September 14th - 20th, 2008) by John Stuart Carlisle Hetherington, Aria Thomases, Sean Swinwood and Lori Mairs. Skimming the Surface is a film about water. With images that span from glacial Alaska to the beautiful Gulf Islands off the coast of British Columbia, it asks the essential question; "What does water mean to you?"
