In our story, Max has gone to Canada and saved Siobhan from Laslo. Back in New York, Max plans to get a divorce from Gabrielle by bringing their daughter home. Frank Ryan has been nominated to run for district attorney by his political party, but they insist that Jill sever her ties with Max whose recent trial could be a liability. When Frank demands that Jill drop Max as a client, she's furious. Johnny Ryan has received word that former friend Meg Smith has died in Tennessee and left him a bequest. Meg's death troubles Johnny, and he secretly asks Jill to handle all the legal aspects of the legacy. Maggie's returned home from her California screen test to find Dave and Katie have gotten married. Maggie turns her attention to Frank and Jill's rocky marriage. Working undercover at Riverside Hospital on a story, Jack finds that strange things are happening with the hospital's ambulance service that's run by Betty Sherman. First aired Friday September 27, 1985.
